LadyAce says, 'if we implemented it, it would go in with spellbooks so people could fix their levels'

ArchAngel says, 'kinda like a new char you start small and then build up til your full'

Kaige says to Riley, 'they do. for already existing spells... it's the NEW ones that don't that get the spell books'

Riley says, 'But, the question is that, aren't you influencing the cast level, but not allowing it to be casted naturally, whether or not its functioning?'

LadyAce says, 'I don't think we have a lot planned in the new spell area. There's a lot of options for magic-users, and not so many for non-magic folks. I think our priority is that.'

Kaige says, 'so when you first cast the spell combo, your level gets marked down in your pfile and poof you're set if we ever do get to implement that spell'

Kaige says to Riley, 'your cast level gets set the first time you chant the word combo.. so it's NOT influencing it.. you're setting it the first time you put that combo together and you have to have the words for it to count. so I'm not sure the problem'

Riley says, 'Yes, but IT DOESN"T show in allspells, so a newbie like me would not cast it if he did not cheat and use legenddb'

Levi nods his agreement with LadyAce.

LadyAce says, 'I don't think we would put in a new spell and allow them to use cast levels from before the spell was implemented'

Riley says, 'No, I cannot see shadowroom in allspells, therefore, without legenddb, I wouldn't know about it, and if it got implemented, my cast level would be the time of implement'

Kaige says, 'not necessarily.. depends on how you go about putting the combinations together... methodically or guessing or asking other players or looking them up on legenddb'

LadyAce says, 'I can't imagine us keeping your old cast level when we imp a new spell.'

Kaige says, 'not with the spells we have listed in OUR allspells with -'s next to them...'

LadyAce says to Kaige, 'I think what he means are the spells that are castable but don't do anything -- so you get a cast level set, but it doesn't do you any good right away'

Riley says, 'But what about shadow room for instance?'

Kaige says, 'which is why someone got the bright idea for spellbooks.. so even NEW spells not thought of before could get as low as possible cast levels'

Kaige says, ' yes.. and you get the benefits of that low cast level as soon as it's implemented.. not a cast level of where you are when it's implemented like was with frostbolt or anything else that has a spellbook made like that'

Kaige says to Riley, 'you'll have the cast level of when ever you first chanted that spell combo'

LadyAce says, 'you can keep up on what we're doing by keeping an eye on the events list'

LadyAce says, 'I put things in there as I plan to do them. If I can get my brain synchronized again, they might even start happening at the time I promise...*has been confused about 2 different events in the last week*'

LadyAce says, 'sometimes games don't go in there, usually because they haven't been planned in advance'

LadyAce says, 'usually if something is planned in advance, like if Kae and Cheyla decide to give the Elf game another try, or if Sandra schedules another tourney, it'll be there.'

Levi says, 'thats neat'

Kaige says, 'and if you have color, the days with events are usually the same as your fight color so they stand out'
