Glip says, 'now for my question'

Glip says, 'well, I dont use a weapon right now, but when I did I found that when I pierced hard with the hook, it was always the dagger that got the message'

Glip says, 'only reason I wonder is cause I want to string something to hook so that it looks like im fighting with claws and a tail or something, sorta like an animal'

OOC & Spells/Affects?

Glip says, 'its about going ooc while flying or meditating and such'

Glip says, 'just wondering what the reasoning is why we cant'

Myrrdin says, 'the worst is sustained breath cause it lasts forever'

Myrrdin says, 'and I see no pk advantage to sustained breath :P'

LadyAce says, 'the reason is that we don't want people to use the ooc to keep their spells from wearing off'

Glip says, 'ahh, but you dont do anything in ooc correct?'

Glip says, 'I mean game wize'

LadyAce says, 'right, so it wouldn't tick down'

Glip says, 'you cant earn exp in ooc?'

Nada says, 'thre aren't enough uses for sustained breath, that would require new areas / acts / quests'

Myrrdin says to Glip, 'they want to keep people from doing things like vanish, going ooc, waiting for a target and coming ic to kill them...easier in coding to just do it for blanket spell effects'

Glip says, 'so how would one have an advantage by going ooc while spelled up, it still has same duration in game'

Glip says, 'ahh, now that make sense'

Glip says, 'ok, but flying is that overpowered?'

Glip says, 'by going ooc while flying, or sustained breath?'

LadyAce says, 'well, if your spell lasts 5 ticks, you can go ooc, and the timer stops running'

Myrrdin says to Glip, 'like I said, easier to just code it for blanket spell effewcts than each individual spell'

Glip says, 'well, this is true.. just a pain when you where an item that is perma fly'

LadyAce says, 'sustained breath, maybe you'd run ooc and hang out so it didn't tick down while you waiting on a PD CR, I dunno'
