Quests to Build Housing?

Kupo says, 'is it possible to build things in the masai pasture or has that not been implemented?'

LadyAce says, 'I'm not sure if Cheyla has housing there or not'

LadyAce says, 'if you type build and nothing shows, you could use idea to suggest it to her'

Kaige says, 'if you type BUILD and get options, you can... if it says you can't build there.. you can't.'

Also, some of the builders will often have some feedback on suggestions and typos that get reported with some of their reasoning for why things are the way they are or won't be incorporated into the areas.

General Suggestions/Questions

o We should have a "shush" social... to try to quiet someone down or get them to shut up nicely.

We have a HUSH social for just that purpose. It even doesn't echo to the room when you hush someone else, so it doesn't interrupt whatever event is going on for everyone else.

o Why does skin fail so much?

Since the chance of success is based on several of your stats, I would guess that the character(s) you're seeing fail at them don't quite have the necessary stat levels to do it well.

o Why does the -AC scale not go above 100? You should get a bonus for below -100 ac -- should go to at least -150.

Basically, those are the arbitrary limits that were placed on it. Adding 50 to the range in either direction would still mean there was a place where you could technically get beyond the limit, but not get any additional benefits.

o I haven't done anything in FI that tells me, or even hints to me that I'm, apparenlty, in need of a bath. Yet the humans there keep telling me I stink.

It looks like the only place you may not get a message about getting dirty and needing a bath is when you sleep in some place that's rather yucky. I'm not sure what we can do about those, since you're not awake to see the messages in all cases, but I'm sure we can brainstorm on it.

o Make regen times faster for things like resting and sleeping so that way you don't kill for few minutes and regen for 2-3 times as long being bored and got nothing to do.

They are, but they're also affected by other things, like hunger and thirst.

o What does puling mean? (in a room desc in Beowulf)

Whining or whimpering.

o With empty pockets minus 1 coin, you can drop 1 coin, curse (spell) coin, pick it up and drop it again. It has to be the same coin, cause you don't have any other coins at that time. (I know it's a code issue, but it's still a bug..

This is because gold coins are stored as a number on your character until you drop it. So technically, it's not the same coin -- a new one is created every time you drop one.

o Lower the rent of housing... with about a 2 room house, on avg people pay 2.5 million minimum a year... kinda a lot when you think about it, not sure, it seems less day by day, just a thought.

The high rent on houses was something we decided we wanted for a couple of reasons. First, money had no real purpose. Second, we'll always have limited disk space, so pricing it at a premium makes sure that the people who really want it and are willing to work to keep it are the ones who are taking up memory and disk space.

o An if statement should be added to hunt in order to first hunt things in your current area with that keyword.

It's a lot more complicated to do that than a single if statement. But eventually, we want to change hunt so that you can only hunt things that have actually passed through the room itself.
