Hp Gains: Con vs Level?

ArchAngel says, 'is there a set amount of hps that you gain as you get more con or is that based on a certain percentage like with dex-hit and such??'

LadyAce says, 'it's a random chance, nothing you can do to improve your odds'

ArchAngel says, 'I actually figured out the dex-hit percentage figure but I lost taht number when I restarted my computer...'

Kaige says, 'wait. he asked as you gain more con, not as you level, right?'

Kaige says, 'with con, I believe is fixed, what you gain at level is completely random'

ArchAngel says, 'say I add more con to my char as is, is there a set amount of the hps you can when the con catches up to your max limit...'

LadyAce says, 'there's a formula which says, at lvl x and con y, you get FOO hp added to your natural total'

LadyAce says, 'your natural total increases with level and that's the randomy bit.'

ArchAngel says, 'so basically if you have a lot of con when you first start you'll end up with a lot more hps at lvl 50 than normal?'

LadyAce says, 'you can tell this is true, cuz if you take a 5 con item off, then put it back on, your max hp will be the same as before you took it off.'

LadyAce says, 'you get x hp at each level, all random.'

General Suggestions/Questions

o System Time, is it consistent through the world? (ie I live in Central Standard Time, You live in London... If we type in time at the same time, will the System time be the same?)

Yes, because System Time is the time on the computer the mud is hosted on.

o Can we disable that mailman monthly reminder? Useless piece of email, be nice if we can turn it off or something.

Unfortunately, it can only be turned on or off for the mailing list as a whole, not for individuals. And one extra mail a month is easy to either delete by hand or set up in your mail program's rules to just delete it for you if you really don't want it. However, someone out there may need the reminder which is why it is turned on.

o Is it true that if you die just before a "crappy" crash and didn't retrieve the items in it before the crash... all the items are lost, and you won't get reimburse for it? If so, that does not sound fair to me...

Only if the crash occurs during or before the function that saves the corpse and the items in the room when you die. Otherwise, it should be there and owned when the server comes back up.

o Marked paper/card/mudmail stay marked when sent and then recieved by person, when you send (currently) the mark is removed.

Yup, that's because just like strung notes, the actual item isn't saved, only the vnum and file value which the code uses to recreate for you.

o Why is it that create mage spell foul water doesn't get that dragon out anymore?

Not sure, but we'll toss it on the list of bug reports for that area so it can be looked into.
