A few ideas about the changes

I haven't heard all that much discussion about a few things, so I thought I'd shed some light on what i've noticed. With the recall spell, how about lowering the mana it uses when you fail? 50 mana loss is quite a bit, and you can argue that it can be regen'd in a couple ticks (if you can still meditate when gradual stats arrive) but when you end up failing a few times, it adds up to a lot of mana being wasted, and since there's only a couple of areas with a high magic level or whatever, it's very inconvenient. Another thing i find unbalanced, is how non dex fighters (esp. con fighters) can reach -100ac without much trouble. Since con fighters already have the hps, having -100ac removes the edge (well, a big chunk of the edge) that a dex fighter gains from being dex and having low hps. So how to improve that, i'm not sure, unless you add +ac with con points, or simply alter a lot of con eq :P Whatever, i'm just pointing out what i've noticed, and since ac is so important i thought it was something which might need more tweaking -shrug- Oh and i haven't interviewed every person out there, so if you're con without a strong ac, good for you. Last thing, levels being so important in combat (ie. the ammount of attacks you end up landing). This to me seems like it is way too powerful. If you haven't noticed yet, when you try attacking something which is a few levels higher than you, you struggle to land any hits, even if you have a better ac then them, and most likely even if you have a greater dex than them (haven't tested it much), which to me seems, well, silly. In pkill, a 10 level difference will mean that everyone will rush to be level 50 as fast as they can just to stand a chance of being competitive, but i guess we won't know till we're allowed to test pkill with these changes. Anyway, append if you have comments/ideas. Ceres.
