The Alhambra

The Alhambra--once a Moorish palace, a Spanish garrison, a Spanish palace, and the governor's seat--sits overlooking the sleepy little town of Granada, Spain. Rumored to be haunted by long dead Moorish princesses and cavaliers, the Alhambra is cluttered with secret rooms long forgotten and dark corners that may not be as safe as one would think. From Granada, one can travel south and west to the Caribbean following the Path of the Conquistadors and on to Viceroyal Lima. Travel by sea to the British Isles is also possible. Daring adventures can brave the snow capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada and Pyrenees mountains and travel north to France. Travel is treacherous with the threat of an avalanche at every misstep or outcry.

The Alhambra is perhaps most famous because of Washington Irving's book "Tales of the Alhambra," from which some of the location descriptions in this area were taken.
