Area Progress

Tobias says, 'I got your generic 'ask what the area progress is and then get whapped by several imms' question. But then I'd get whapped and that'd defeat the purpose.'

Rusalka is in the middle of barge acts

Kaige didn't get much new area building done over the holidays.

Kaige says, 'yeah, but I was doing other stuff, like actually cooking a couple of days there'

How long until Inactivity Purges?

Tobias says, 'What's the time till a character is purged due to inactivity?'

Kaige says, 'we do purges on the first of the month , and if they haven't been played since the first of the previous month'

Tobias says, 'ah'

Kaige says, 'that's when they get purged'

Tobias must dodge flamethrowers.

Kaige says, 'so if you log in after the first of each month, you're safe'

Tobias nods solemnly.

Kaige says, 'or if you just go ahead and archive'

Tobias says, 'archive? But then it takes like...3 steps to login! ^_~'

Tobias grins evilly.

Kaige giggles at Tobias.

Kaige says, 'but it's safe!'

Tobias says, 'true'

Tobias says, 'I should make rent/login thingies.'

Warning Duration

Sandro says, 'how long does it take to get rid of warnings'

LadyAce says, 'warnings don't disappear automatically'

LadyAce says, 'you can ask to have them removed, but we keep a permanent record of them in our logs'

Haley says to Sandro, 'after 6 months you no longer see them :)'

Sandro says, 'i know was just wondering'

Kaige says, 'actually players stop seeing them after 6 months in the warning command, but imms have access to your full history if they need it.'

Haley nods her agreement with Kaige.

Sandro smiles happily.

Kaige says, 'so the answer is 6 months, and never.'

Kaige giggles.

Haley giggles.

Sandro says, 'well i don't want a history just wan to make these go away'

Sandro says, 'ok thank you'

Haley says to Sandro, 'as long as you stay on a good track that will be noticed as well :) '

Aaron's Fight Acts Broken?

Arturo says, 'I have two quick questions...'

Kaige says, 'I think that was a bug, and Kae's fixed it again.'

Kaige says, 'but if you wanna check with her, she'll give you the definitive answer'

MoiraGwyn nods her agreement with Arturo.

Kaige says, 'you'd have to ask Kae for that one...'

Kaige says, 'questions like that are best directed at the current maintainer of an area.. which you can easily find with the areainfo command'

LadyAce says, 'sometimes the mobs can answer you too'

Arturo nods his agreement with Kaige.

Kaige says, 'when you type areainfo the first name of the maintainer list is the current one'

Arturo says, 'thanks very much'

Kaige says to Arturo, 'sure'

Kae reports that this is a bug and an oversight on her part and will be fixed soon.

Mysanthrope says, 'are there going to be auggment changes eg,'

Sandro begins to twitch nervously.

LadyAce says, 'we've talked about some sort of change regarding the balance between augmenting and 2nd circle words, but nothing's been determined as far as I know'

Rusalka nods solemnly.

Kaige says, 'nothing currently under discussion, that I know of, other than "is there an imbalance"'

Mysanthrope says, 'IMHO there isn't. 100 mind cruit cirt does more than a 60 spirit auggie'

Mysanthrope flops about helplessly.

Kaige says, 'yeah, but it also doesn't take rent or weight space either.'

Greater Summons and Alignment Bug?

Mysanthrope says, 'is the shroud, two greaters a bug or a feature, and can we use it in till fixed'

LadyAce says, 'they do have code in the greaters which should notice the change'

LadyAce says, 'we might need to make them a little more perceptive on that point, though'

Mysanthrope says, 'what about total control'

Mysanthrope says, 'if you get a titan on total control "the topend of the greater sommon spell) it will never leave your group till dead.'

Augment/Battle Druid Discussion

Masha says to LadyAce, 'Is it true that the spirit reqs on augment are going to be changed because people have been complaining about how powerful battle-druid are?'

LadyAce says to Masha, 'we're talking about the balance between augmenting and 2nd circle -- no decisions about the situation yet.'

Masha says to LadyAce, 'I see, so in the mean time we're going to be fiddle with because a few people complain. Spiff.'

LadyAce says to Masha, 'fiddle? We've heard some complaints, we're looking at the problem.'

LadyAce says, 'if it is indeed a problem -- we haven't reached any decision on the subject, we're just looking at it'

Kaige says to Masha, 'hard to fiddle when nothing's decided especially if there is an imbalance or not.'

Masha says to Kaige, 'the question is: define imbalance'

Kaige says to Masha, 'and your post would have been better suited to the discussion board, I only happened to see it by chance.'

Kaige says to Masha, 'one char type has a distinct advantage over another'

Masha says to Kaige, 'I have no problems going and killing mobs and then healing myself, I do it in pk, just like anyone would cast 'cure light' on themseles'

Sandro says, 'souldn't be we give up alot a hit and dan for auggies'

Masha says to Kaige, 'look at 3c creates then, if you want to be particular'

Masha says to Kaige, 'they create charmie armies, have them attack you, and run off to heal'

Masha shrugs helplessly.

Kaige says, 'yeah, but some of the ways in which they're currenty getting advantages aren't so easily fixed on a global code level scale, but if you point them out to builders which mobs are susceptible to them it's much easier than us sitting here guessing which it may be'

Mysanthrope says to Masha, 'creates are balanced leave them alone '

LadyAce says, 'I'd say that balance is where you can make many different choices on how to build your char, with advantages and disadvantages to suit you.'

Mysanthrope says, 'battle druids would even better if people used the herbs right there is soooo much that people just don't do .'

Masha says, 'take the make amulet skill, no one uses it hardly, yet i do'

Masha says, 'it's a matter of knowing how to use the character and knowing what weaknesses there are to the character.'

Kaige nods her agreement with Masha.

Masha says, 'i'm not all powerful, heck i die more often than not'

Masha says, 'but all i'm saying is other people have to think on the weaknesses of a battle-druid because we're not gods here'

Mysanthrope says, 'herb use herblore you'll kick lots more butt!'

Masha says, 'we have skill lags to account for, less dam and hit, even not so great heals, but it's all a matter of how people think and react to them'

Mysanthrope says to Masha, 'your doing it wrong '

Mysanthrope winks suggestively.

Masha says, 'I've noticed that it all follows in trends. Con snipers were the big thing, now battle-druids, and the next trend is going to be the character type who beats down a battle-druid'

Haley giggles.

Rusalka nods solemnly.

Sandro says, 'snipers are rough on druids'

Masha says, 'heck, for the record, i'm weak against str fighters and snipers.'

Kaige says, 'well except when he's being stupid.'

Rusalka says, 'mine seems to be doing all right'

Changes to Cause Mage Charmies?

Mysanthrope says, 'i heard rumor of cuase mage charmies changes, whats the story =P'

Kaige says, 'Hmm.. I don't recall anything recent about that either'

Mysanthrope cheers wildly!

Kaige says, 'maybe they were talking about Ea's thing, but I don't htink that's any time soon.'

Kaige says, 'I'd have to check back Q&A logs for that one.'

Kaige says, 'haven't heard anything recent on it tho'

Hrath nods his agreement with Kaige.

LadyAce says, 'Are there any other questions?'
