1994: KAIGE

     A horde of gerbils scurries up and deposits Kaige at your feet.
 
     Kaige hands you a gerbil and is gone before you can protest. 

1995: PTAH

     A wolf lopes up to you, grey-mane, yellow-eyed forest-walker,
     and then removes his skin, revealing Ptah standing as a wearer of the
     wolfshape, a warg out of the tales of spaemagic.
 
     Foul wyrm, the greed-eaten dragon that is the soul of a dead man,
     flies overhead, flame belching from its mouth! Ptah sees it and seizes
     ahold of its mighty tail, to be dragged away into the endless sky-garth,
     the heavens.

1996: LEILA

     You feel the cool steel of scissors on the back of your neck...
     Then a little mousse. A tiny brush flicks away the stray hairs. You
     are blinded by a mist of hairspray and when the cloud lifts you see
     your reflection in the mirror Leila holds. Your face falls.
 
     It's called the Friends Haircut' Leila snaps as she flounces from
     the room. 'And there's no need to cry, you know'.

1997: TAD

     A rather large, smelly hephalump comes trampling through the room with
     a rather naked celtic lad perched atop it.  As it passes through, the
     hephalump bucks the lad off and Tad lands at your feet.

     Tad whistles, and a large, smelly hephalump comes running by.  He hops
     atop it, and starts to wave goodbye when the hephalump grabs him with
     its trunk, and throws him somewhere far away.

1998: SANDRA

     A 6 foot Gumby walks in, an idiotic red smile on its face. With a
     mighty SCCRRRCH of velcro Gumby is torn asunder, and Sandra stands
     before you.
 
     Sandra's face freezes in a look of mild surprise. With another
     giant SCRRRCH a 5 foot tall Gumby rips off the Sandra suit and
     waddles away.

      A man in a plaid suit is fiddling with his camera here.

      You see before you a man dressed entirely in plaid. In one hand he
      carries a book of spells, and in the other he carries a camera to
      capture all his adventures. Before you know it you hear a click,
      and part of your soul is forever imprinted on his film. With a smile 
      he searches for his next subject.
 

      a dirty Celtic lad
      A dirty little Celtic lad cocks his head to one side and giggles.

      Tad is a young celtic lad, perhaps 8 or 10 years old. His pale blue
      eyes watch you, as a lock of reddish-brown hair falls in front of his
      face. He pushes it back and grins slightly, as if he finds you
      amusing.
 

      a dishevelled, hiccupping Scot
      A pile of tartan rags lies in a gutter, snoring and reeking of ale.
      He hiccups. That's what first draws your attention to the Scotsman
      lying in the gutter here.

      He is quite obviously drunk, but manages to slur his speech into
      barely comprehensible syllables to inform you:

       "It'sh shtriktly f'r medishindal purposhesh."

      He then moves back into his own world, and crackedly sings, "You
      tyke th' hiiiiiiigh road, and I'lb tyke th' low roab, and I'll
      getsh t' shcotchland afore ye..."
 

      a blind-looking beggar

      A blind-looking beggar crouches here, clinging to his staff.

      Hugging a mud-splattered, heavy rug around him, you can't tell
      much about the grimy figure crouching here. Half the weather-
      beaten face is covered by a dirty blindfold, the rest by a fine
      network of scars and wrinkles. His skin looks like leather, and
      long strands of greying hair barely hide his scalp. You notice
      that half of one ear is missing, and as he draws the rug closer
      about himself with a heavily bandaged hand you see that he is
      missing a few fingers as well.

      It is only then that the faint reek of decay hits your nostrils,
      and as you take a closer look, you recognize the signs of a
      leper, the wrapped and bandaged hands and feet, the purple spots
      on a scarred arm, and the running sores just barely visible
      beneath the blindfold.

      Shivering, you take care not to get too close.

       A nereid's bastard daughter is here, gazing toward the ocean.

       Dressed in castoffs from the sea, this waifish beauty looks like
       something washed up on shore. Starfish, seaweed and shells do little
       more than ornament her body. Her wavy dark hair falls in salty tangles
       down her back. Despite her small stature and soft curves, she appears
       far more deadly with her makeshift weapon than its previous owner. But
       she smiles with a sweetness that belies her seemingly supernatural
       strength. As you gaze into her luminous turquoise eyes, you feel
       transported to another world.

       You float gently in a warm tropical sea. Sunlight glitters on the
       turquoise waves, and colorful fish flit through the water. Dark shapes
       drift deep underwater, barely visible, yet you feel strangely safe
       and serene, as if you belonged in this sea.

       The woman you have been staring at winks slyly, shaking you out of
       your reverie.

    long:  A hoard of adoring animals trails a healer encumbered with herbs.

Z    Eyes of blue return your gaze, a soft smile
Z    attached. The gentle rustle of her golden gown, and
Z   the crown of leaves upon her head bare the only
z    sign that she is more than but a mere druidess.  A
  careful  hand brushes a long dark lock from her face,
 securing it back into an intricate braid that appears to cascade
down her back.
   A dragonfly comes to
hover at her side. Is it....
staring at you?
   Of average height and well-defined curve, she is the picture
of both nature and royalty combined. Noting some of her
attire, you can not help but ponder, 'royalty of what sort'?
   Something skitters over your foot, disappearing before it
can be seen. That was odd.
   She shifts nervously at your stare, her eyes leveling on yours
in a cautious manner. She glances away, her attention drawn
for the moment. What is it this woman's eyes seem to quietly
search for? Her gaze comes to rest upon the Sidhe glade
as her expression softens.
   Ahhh... things start to make more sense. Sidhe royalty! Only
she does not appear to be of the Sidhe people, so it must be the
love of her life that is. A band of pure gold about her wrist
comes into sight, slipping out from beneath her sleeve, its markings
read "with love from Rowane".
   You sense a shadowed movement and see a nearby animal shift
its gaze to you. Eerie, almost as if  it was watching, or...
Waiting?

   Ruby lips form a smile as she relaxes her stance for the
moment. Her attention is back on you. Something about her is
intriguing. Her features seem a bit striking, the contrast of her
almost porcelain skin to her bright eyes and raven hair.
She seems almost delicate somehow. Her long dark lashes blink softly
at the sudden attention.
   A small hissss from nearby steals your attention. What the-
What was that noise, was that a snake?
!
   A nearby treetop shakes and you would swear that somewhere
you feel eyes upon you. Something seems amiss and you cannot
quite help but feel a tad unnerved.   A sudden, unexplained feeling
that it may be wise to keep some distance consumes you. Not so
much from this sweet druidess, but from her 'friends', who seem
more than a bit protective of this loving royal couple. You can't help
but wonder, are their human friends this protective as well?
   An extremely large salamander with a collar that reads 'Sparky'
appears at the woman's feet, peering steadily up at you as if confirming
your thoughts. You take a step back, your mind reeling. She NAMED
that thing?? 'Sparky' edges closer to you as you frantically check the
exits. It sneezes. You think it just set fire to something in the process.
A lemur glances at you as if sizing you up. You suspect that
it thinks it could take you in battle. The zoo always lead you to
believe lemurs were pleasant and cuddly. This must be a
rogue one.
   The woman giggles at your silliness, leaving you still pondering
this all as she bids her farewells to those about her, taking her
leave of you.
