First of all, I'd like to point out that the mud is way too small
unlock u
in my experience to provide 'enough' pk opps if we allow such
option as pkok. Currently, I jump virtually anyone and everyone
who is clanned and not on my roster, and even then there are tons
of dead-time where i have to wait til somebody comes online.
Another point you all seem to have neglected is my worry about pk
healers. PkOK will cause serious mayhem, in my opinion, in the
healing scene unless rules come up that prevents this. I personally
can't think of a 'fair' option for healers -- to allow them selective
pkok would mean healers being immune to pk yet being able to heal,
but to force them into pkok all would seriously deter healers.
A pkok check would be awesome for me, but that would go against the
very reason we eliminated level from who/whos, and would eliminate
those that enjoy not telling people that they are clanned.
There are people who think the 'good' won't die out, only those with
a pk-style that is distasteful, but that is deadwrong. PkOK will simply
eliminate the extreme spectrum of pk, the true surprise factor and the
'stalking' of prey. If such flag is to be implemented, the flag should NO
T be re-toggle-able unless the character spends a HELL OF A LONG TIME
online and outside houses and clanhalls. Plus RL days, imho. If it
becomes an option that is too easy to toggle, what we'll have is a big
duelling scene where ppl will just say "let's duel" "k, pkok me" etc.
If people have problems with the current pk scene, just code MULTIOK and
LOOTOK flags, and a AWAY-FROM-PK flag that will break upon pk attempt. Of
course the AFPK flag should cost at LEAST 375k xp, so that people won't
misuse it. Come to think, PK-toggling anyone into NOTPKOK should cost
ppl 375k xp (at lvl 50, below, whatever the cost it is for one pkdeath)
and the first pkok option should be pkok all.
Yes, I like that idea. It isn't a steep price to pay for those that won't
abuse the command, but will deter abuse to a certain degree. And come to
think healing can simply check to see if the healer is in range and has th
attacker pkok'd.

To get my point clear, I'll jot down my suggestion for pkok if
it were to be implemented
1. first one would type pkok to use the commands with pkok. this
would basically be the enabling of a character, defaulting at pkok all.
2. pkok would have several options, pkok person, unpkok person, afpk,
pkokannounce and pkok check. pkokannounce will allow others to see your
name on pkok check if they are pkok'd all or have you not unpkok'd and are
in your range.
3. to unpkok a person, you will pay the equivalent xp of one pk death,
followed by an Info. pkok check will also list who you're unpkok'd by,
and heck, we could have it info whenever you try to pk a person who has
you unpkok'd. haha.
4. to unpkok, of course, you'll have to be outside the 10tick pk timer
that prevents renting in houses.
5. one redemption point will allow you to unpkok without cost.
6. afpk will also cost you equivalent of one death, and will be a unpkok a
until you commit a pkaction (additional death xp cost) or unafpk.
7. to pkok a person you have unpkok'd will take 10-20 ticks after you hav
entered the command.
8. healing can only be obtained by healers who have pkok'd all, if during
pk.
9. same spiel with housing. pkers should not be able to unlock/lock doors
err, rather just lock, of houses whose owners aren't pkok all'd.
10. for one redemption point, a pker should be able to prevent others from
unpkok'ing them. Personally think this fair considering one redemption po
allows ppl to unpkok without cost. So for two redemption points, you get
to have a super pk char in terms of safety, but dang, that's a lot of
boredom.
11. Upon multi, there will be a config that allows you to automatically
unpkok the offender, at no additional cost.
12. same goes upon loot -- after one item gets stolen, you get to have
an option to toggle the lootok flag (which probably should cost 100k
otherwise). Of course, the item you have lost is lost.
13. for another redemption point, maybe one could get a 1-1pk
option. that is, upon initiation of pktimer, only the opponent that
has initiated the timer can attack you. or we could make that a pkok
option, one that costs two pk deaths (which will toggle automatically
if more than 3 pkers have attacked you in one round).
That sums up my view of pkok. If most of those can be fulfilled,
i'd personally enjoy pkok (most important being prolly no10 :p).

The math totally confused me. But it sounded really convincing
though. Good suggestion too.
