Is discussing things automatically whining?

I am considering to refrain myself entirely from any future discussions of the Mud. Why? Becase if expressing concern about a change or a feature automatically makes me a whiner, then there is not much point to it, is there? Let alone that I find hard to justify to myself why I should at all expose myself to that kind of unpleasant situations.. Personally, I -love- this mud and if I express a concern about something it's in the hope - naive as it maybe - it's as an attempt to contribute, not to sabotage. I think such attempts should be welcome and encouraged, not bashed upon. And I also think that they -are- welcome by the majority of the immortals. Unfortunately, there seems to be a group of people here that automatically consider -everyone- that even has the courage to -question- any of the immortal decisions as a whiner. Just as there is - I admit it freely - a group that criticises the immortals no matter what they do. The point is however, that bashing everyone that really tries to contribute - granted, the attempts might be missdirected, or not sufficiently well considered, but at least they are honest attempts to improve, not to destroy! - a whiner, will only lead to a situation where there are just two groups left: One that bashes the immortals no matter what they do, and one who considers the immortals infallible. The third group - those who really try to improve things - only to the best of their ability of course, no better - will be gone. At least personally I wonder why I should open my mouth at all and expose myself to unpleasant situations like this..My point is though, would anyone welcome a situation where there are only two groups left, none of which really wishes for any discussions? Not the immortals at least, I am sure..IMHO, the class of the immortal staff here on Lengend is -extremely high-. Maybe this will put my "whining" in some perspective.. I have been told that instead of whining, I should present constructive suggestions of improvements. However, at least in my humble opinion constructive criticism also comprises the analysis of what is wrong in the first place. Not until the shortcomings and flaws are located, can a really constructive discussions of improvements start.. My entire point with this post is however: Is it worth it? Do I really want to expose myself to being bashed and yelled at just because I want to contribute making this mud - great as it is, let it be said once again - even better? Do I really want to face accusations of different kinds just because I am concerned about certain aspects of the game? I am not sure.. Feisal
