why can vials be found that do certain things (blind) yet they can't be brewed from herbs? this is extremely annoying. With enough of the druidic stat, and being from the druidic town, one should be able to to anything druidic, IMO.

Though I can understand your frustration, just because it's a potion doesn't mean it was brewable. In the context of the fiction, some potions are made by mixing materials together (druidic) and others which are born of magic alone, not the knowledge of the combination of certain herbs. Also, most if not all the brewable potions are based in some sort of historical/legendary grounding. It was once believed that certain herbs, prepared properly, would cause one to fly, cause their perceptions to be enhanced, etc... Herbs will be expanded sometime in the future, but right now, from the ones we have, the said potion you wish to brew just isn't a possibility within the historical context. From a game design perspective, some things are powerful and imbalacing in large quantities (though not in small) and making something NOT brewable is a means of controlling how often one of said item enters the game. The other argument from a game design perspective is that of relation to other skills. Can people with forge forge skyblades? Wormtooth daggers? No. The reason for that is if everything were player-creatable, there would be no reason to go out and acquire such equipment. That's one of the major drives behind the game engine itself (possession acquisition and utilization) and it's something that could easily be destroyed if everything were at the hands of the characters in the game instead of the game system and NPC's. -Ruf
