Skills in OOC

I was wondering if anyone had brought up the idea of not being able to use ANY skills in OOC... I realize that you were able to hunt in OOC till a while ago, and that that was changed, but I wonder if it doesn't make more sense to disable ALL skills.

I don't really think using skills is a big deal, but as a mage, I find it annoying that some people can pick the lock on the library door, while I, who use the spell "phase door" on a regular basis, cannot get in there.

Aside from my personal issues though, I think that the use of skills sets up a situation where your level and type of character make a difference in a place that has been specifically set aside as an "out of character" area, and that it goes against the purpose of ooc.

Should just make the necessary doors such as the library permanently unlocked. Nevermind that people are worried about being walked into. :P
