today i was running with someone and i started to get slightly annoyed at him for being slow to respond. after taking the time to get to know him just a bit better, i learned that he was blind, and using what he called a screen reader. i felt really bad, at this point. but my whore point here, is that i think it's really, really cool that a blind person is playing legend. it made me realize that i should have a bit more patience, and a bit more consideration. again, i just thought it was the coolest thing i've seen happen here in a very long time, and i wanted to share it. |U6

From: LadyAce Tuesday, June 15 2004, 03:14PM Actually, there are a lot of folks who have different reasons for being slow to respond -- how about a good helping of patience for each other in all cases? :) Sometimes I get into a frame of mind where I want everything to happen as quickly as I'm able to think it, type it, etc. -- easy to trample on other people and miss out on things when you're running a mile a minute. When I get too twiddly and feel like I need everything to go faster, faster, fast as possible, it's time for me to fire up some extra windows to distract myself, or else just chiiiilll. Oops, I am rambling off topic :) -LA |U6
