I think the taint command should not required you to have the
skill poisoning in order to use it. This is due to the fact that
you have to be non-good align to use the skill poisoning. And by
enforcing the requirement for taint, you are forcing people to be in
-class-... =(... Am I making sense? Probably not...

Be in class? The evil class? :-) Tainting things is poisoning
them, so that's why its part of the poisoning skill. Its not
a seperate skill in and of itself.

While I agree that there is no class issue here, I do think
it a bit absurd that taint should fall under a skill that
checks for knowledge of poison.
I mean, in RL I know jack and jack about poisons...making them
or otherwise. However, give me an arrow and a bottle of poison...
I'm fairly certain that I might be able to figger out how to
make the arrows nastier.
Of course, that's just my opinion. =)

The poison skill doesn't represent knowledge of how to make a poison, it
represents the ability to know how best to apply a poison to the weapon
in question without hurting yourself. If I gave you an arrow and a
bottle of poison that acts on contact with the skin, you may well be
able to make the arrow nastier--if you don't have to have your hand
amputated first. Just because something looks easy...

Interesting point, Dolor. However, most poisons didn't work
on contact with the skin. Hell, 'poisoning' your weapon meant,
in most cases, rubbing some fecal matter on the blade.
What makes the poison...well...erm...poisonous...is when it
is injected into your bloodstream...via the blade or arrow.
So, yes. Give me a pile of dung...or a bottle of poison...and
an arrow and I can assure you that I'll be able to dip said
arrow without injury.
Unless it's really stinky dung. Then I might become a little
queasy.
