Okay chances are this will be long, so there's the warning. Firstly, I was reading a few of the latest Q&A logs the other day, which got me thinking about a few issues (most of which admitadly I have forgotten, but the ones that I remember I are as follows) Firstly, the ride issue: Great idea, although largely pointless at high levels, you can only warcry, and the horses are like level 8 so they miss all the time. Solution: add some more higher level horses around the place. Be able to kick off horses, bash? i mean you can boot to the head easy enough, and lean down to wallop them with the hilt of your weapon trying to knock them on the ground? Also someone in a Q&A log said the biggest advantage was easier to attack, so increase your damage dealt if you ride. Have it so dodge is disabled, but instead of dodgeing the attack hits the mount, increase chance of this happening. I mean it'll be alot easier to kill the horse than the rider (attack not kill). I'm sure you can think up lots of other ideas to go with ride, to make it more useful, and more widely used, but still not useful enough that everyone rides and just kills things. Secondly, blind. Okay when I am blinded, i can still attack and hit 4 outta 5 times, and i can still make my way around, albeit a tad slower and with more mv cost. I take a bit more dam, and deal a tad less. Okay you go try attack a blind guy in the street, see how many times he actually hits you, and how many times you hit. He'll hit like once in a fight, and you'll practically never miss. Then people come with the 'blind overpowered' business. And yes it will be, it SHOULD be, well not overpowered, as you should dramatically decrease the chance to blind. Not just chant few minor words and hey presto you're blind. Maybe have it so it takes sight for a round or two instead. Also, blindside, the way its taught is with a blindfold so you cant see where the opponent is. So this should reduce chance to blind, and make blind nearly (not quite but nearly) useless against those who can or rather have the knowledge and skill to fight with little to know visual aids. But then blindside is over powered, but is it? I mean if you hardly ever get blinded then how can it be overpowered, you never get a chance to test it out. Poison, and food. As someone mentioned to me a while ago, what happens when I have a poisoned weapon, poison an animal, then carve and eat its corpse? Shouldn't you get effected with the poison? as you are eating a poisoned corpse Well this is getting a tad big, so I'll stop here, and explain a big long idea in the next post. |U6

Skin skill, in a Q&A log (cause unfortunately i am unable to attend these events) I believe it was an imm saying that skin can not be learnt from technical hometowns. Their reasoning was that most people did not skin. Well just because MOST do not, doesn't stop someone from learning. I mean if I wanted to learn how to skin/tan a corpse, then I could go down to a taxidermist and learn. Using the 'not many people did it' excuse, well what about hunt, not that many people anywhere could hunt down prey, usually only a few members of each tribe were any good at it. And ride, going by that logic people from techinical hometowns shouldn't be able to ride horses, because MOST people didn't. I thought this place was on, 'they didnt know how to do this at this place in this time' not a 'not many did'. Going by 'no one knew how to do it' ancient hometowns shouldn't be able to learn parry, as that was invented to combat the thrusting of a rapier, in the med time, with the swashbuckling sailors. So why can my 3c mage from agrabah, learn parry when he was born yonks before parry was invented, but people from london cant skin, when even now i could learn how to do it if i wished. |U6
