I have a terrible feeling I am going to be told to suck a lemon but.. Can the skill reimb thing be changed so you can drop prereqs for skills without having the skills? Like I have play, eloquence, calm, praise but no inspire for some reason. If I had inspire I could drop play but since I don't I can't. Is that how it is supposed to be? And if you say yes I'm gonna have to start crying and whining and crying some more since I was in the hospital during the time eloquence was being reimbursed back when moods got changed... |U6

From: DoctorBob Friday, April 11 2003, 09:17PM One more thing. I remember being told no skills were going to be added untill skill trees came in and that skill trees was going to come with a skill wipe or something like that, so learning pointless skills couldn't hurt...and I know alot of other characters are in the same boat as me. So since this was apparently not true, could we start getting reimbursals on these pointless and pathetic skills? I mean on the one hand the imms shouldn't have to be bothered over players making bad choices on thier characters... On the other hand Legend is supposed to be classless, allowing characters to change thier minds about what they want to be without restarting.... So why not offer skill reimbs on all skills at all times? Not a chance in space hell that you can be a surgeon then decide to be a fighter then decide to be a sniper with the small number of practices we get... Well unless you are a dry husk of a character for each type you want to be with none of the extra skills for that class just the basic ones... |U6

From: Hatred Saturday, April 12 2003, 04:05PM What a brilliant idea, you want to talk about being able to keep the same name of your character and the lvl's you allready have created. Why not allow for full skill re-imbursement at any time, make paul in ooc give it out at any time a person wishes. Id like to be able to restart characters into new hometowns without having to restart myself, so that if I get sick of being a mage I could be something else without having to go through the entire character building practice again. even allowing a reroll of stats, plenty of other muds do it this way to help with enjoyment. then you would not get those silly perma messages all the time. New skills or pre-req's get changed on skills and you see characters start to perma, this will allow people to just redue their characters without getting all upset at imms for making changes, which is really kinda silly but when you invest hundreds of hours into characters based on one idea having that taken from you in a way is very annoying. Just myh two cents worth Hatred |U6
