Reading the recent Q&A log, many seem to be upset about the
new fight skills only going to fighters, ie you have chant
or augment they do not work. So to keep our 'class less'
system, could the imms just put stupid stat requirements, like
80/80/50? As most chars even battle druids or 2c battle mages
tend not to have 80/80/50 stats for con/str/dex as they
require higher mind and spirit. I do not know how that will
effect pure 50 hit/dam hitters as they tend to be 100 str/dex
and not much con. Anyway just a thought to keep it 'class less'
while still only giving the skills to those classified as
'pure fighters'

At this time, we'll be sticking with the pure fighter types for
the new skills. It's not putting them into a class, it's rewarding
for more specializing which isn't the same. Anyone that's played
a fighter type knows that they are in need of the addition, and
we agree with that. But if we gave them to everyone then the
fighter types would remain as they are now. It's quite possible
to have the stats you listed as a mage or as a druid. It's even
possible for them to get the stat reqs that the skills do have,
but either way, those types of characters are not in need of
any additions currently. In the future, once these skills have
been in for a while, we may take another look at each type and
change our minds. Right now tho, druids and mages will have to
stick with what they have. Which is already plenty.

Rewarding for more specialization would be to put requirements
that would exclude other skills by the nature of their requirements.
A class - or as I would rather call, an archetype - are sets of
skills that are mutually exclusive of other sets of skills. In this
case, we're reinforcing this over some reward for specialization.
I agree with the changes made, I think they're good ones, but in
defending them, at least call a spade a spade.
Using skills to exclude other skills IS a classing system.
