Okay, i understand why you are upping the prices
on food. Make cook and fishing useful skills. Make money
more important, spend your money etc etc.
But a few comments, a few weeks ago, richard the innkeeper
at the stag, sold meat rolls for 5 coins each. 4 meat rolls
to full. Now they cost 70+ coins each. A haunch just the haunch
not the whole mutton, just the hauch, costs 120 coins.
Okay what if I'm a newbie, I cant afford my lunch. I start with
500 coins, 200 of that i'll spend on my lunch each day!
Also, historically, in tudor, a peasant wouldnt earn more than
a few crowns each year. How can a peasant afford to eat? Has
the stag suddenly become some posh place? if so, why doesnt
thomas down the road being the dull and boring place, sell food
for 1/2 the price? These food prices make me consider changing
occupation to a shepherd, not only do i get to sell the wool
but when they grow old and crusty i can kill them off and
sell the meat for well 120 coins per leg, plus the body, that would
be what, at least 600 coins. Gee I'd be rich.
Also, if you are charging according to food value of the food, then
that means it will cost me 2-300 every time i go from starving
to full, regardless of what I eat. What about budget eating? I know
at my local club, they got $5 meals every mon tues, why not have
some budget days/functions or something to counteract this huge
price increase. Meat rolls used to be cheaper than bread for heavens
sake, now they hugely expensive. I cant afford to feed myself!

Newbies have other options. They can forage for food that might be
lying around, like vegetables in Tara. They can also carve chunks
out of many of the animals they kill.
When I'm visiting Tara, I like to eat Marauder's leftovers in the
lost and found box.
Unless you're just sitting around, I bet you can feed yourself
off of your kills or you can afford some food. If you are just
sitting around, then don't worry about it. Hunger won't kill you.
