Okay I know SOMEONE is going to say, go ask this at a Q&A.
Well I would, but me living a good 15ish hrs ahead of system
means that I have RL commitments ie School, when they are being
held, so this is the next best thing.
My question:
Hooks and greaves give second attacks right? Would it at all be
possible to add emotes onto them that fired whenever they did.
This would not add any ingame benifit, just an RP benifit. I have
no idea how hard it would be to code or anything, but it could be
fun. eg, someone might string their hook to 'wolverine claws'
so the fight might go something like this (well your attacks bit anyway)
You decimate Frank with your powerful slash.
Frank squeals in pain as you thrust your wolverine claws into his torso.
You peirce Frank hard.
Just something that I think could look cool, would look even better
if you could have it like any combat skill where it picks randomly any
emote out of a list of 3-4 emotes
Oh well just a thought.

Oh yeah, since it will be an emote, the easiest way would to
have it an emote so the one in the example before probably wouldn't
be too good instead replace that with:
Bob jams his wolverine claws into your body.
Personally I think the first one sounded better, BUT if it is an emote
then I think the second would be easier to code for the imms, and it
would still aid in RP etc.

i dont like needless fight spam, but thats just me. you could always
write your own triggers for your own emotes ...

you could actually have your cake and eat it too with an emoteto
which is a spiffy way to show a different message to the room and
the target..
But the kind of stuff you want would be a huge chore to code most
likely and would generate enormous spam.
Add it yourself if you want it for RP by using cunning triggers and
alias's
i reckon

I think it does sound like an interesting idea, adding it in as a
fight message. I can't say anything useful about how hard it might
be, but it's a good idea.

There's also a known bug where secondary attack weapons are reporting
as being done by your regular weapon, so once this can be found and
squished, you'd be getting a message about your secondary weapon.
I wanna say the bug is only in compact fight message display, but
I can't recall off the top of my head.
