As a lowbie, I'm currently distressed with the way that mobs heal. When
high level mobs heal at a tick, it generally isn't a large proportion of
their total hp. But at low levels, it is. I just got killed by a mob that
went from dying to several wounds at a tick, while I gained one hp. When
you have no fightskills and can barely hit (if that) if really hurts for
a mob to heal. If it flees, it can be devastating. I once had a mob stunne
at 0 hp, and then was not able to get a hit to finish it off and it healed
to perfect (luckily staying stunned). Perhaps the code for mob healing
could be looked at, or at least scaled for lower levels.

I think you are missing the point Wes. Even an NPC can't heal to several
wounds from dying in the span of one tick while standing up. Taffy's
issue is not with progressive vs. tick healing, but with how fast the
mob is regenning those hps at the tick. I've had this same problem with
a few of my newbies, and it's made worse by the fact that a lot of
newbie mobs flee around like mad when they get low. It makes them really
difficult and frustrating to kill.

why not argue about something even if it turns out worse
if it add reality, balance etc, why must this game be as
easy as possible?
why is every idea that would make things harder automagically
considered a bad idea?
