Personally, I believe.. One of the reasons that people are bringing up OLD characters, (ones I haven't seen for atleast a year) and no one remembers these characters is... They all left with the hit/dam/old/new/pkok changes (ok not all..) I know alot of Old Timers (don't take that negatively) have left in the past 2 years (almost 3) since I've been here In case none of you know (or remember) I used to play Brew I remember Ulric, Sharri, Mice (who still plays, btw) Lemming, Ronnie, Craven, (more people that Cyron listed) Windsong, Ix, Ma There's a lot of players I would consider "Legends" if only for the fact they were level 50 when I was a shorty and still learning. I looked up to alot of these people. I remember them fondly as people who, frankly know the mud better than I do. People I watched on Chat, bicker and fight RP-style PK'd and RP'd, DT'd and verbosely subjected the rest of us with their opinions and mandates. And hey, what about people like Chante'? People who play worse than I do, can't even get from Tara to Agrabah without help, but sit down and participate in chat and the social aspects of the mud. Are they less of a Legend because it took them 4 years (and 30 SL runs) to get from level 44 to 50? I remember when SL runs were made from groups of FRIENDS people who knew each other and who planned their runs not a "Leader" who does a shoutout for anyone who can fill the rolls of "Tank" "Hitter" "Healer" and there was always room for someone new to learn and even fill in be it from a CR, or one of the clique would step back and let the new person hit (or the leader would direct it) I remember having leeches that didn't do anything, didn't care about the X XP or the EQ, they just went along for the conversation. SL runs took all night not because of the ineptitude of the group but because it was a social roaming of the area. It wasn't "We can do SL in 2 hours flat", It was "Lets have a great night of fun in SL and see if we can get to the Demon Kings"

From: Christopher Thursday, February 15 2001, 12:45AM I hate posting long things... and now I lost my train of thought.. (Platform 9 3/4) I haven't been around much in the past year most of you can remember the incidents that happened that caused me to see other venues online to occupy myself (in addition I attempted (failed) to get away from this box) and I am so horribly bad at remembering people's alt (let alone actually figuring them out) that i have no idea who is who is who is still playing (hey remember Urg?) I know Lilian's still around. I can't really think of anyone (err Stick) that was an established character when I started, that is still here now. Who was that guy that was a big cat that never talked? I liked him.... It wasn't BroeknSpring.. someone else Anyway, I'll cease my ramblings.. Much Love to Y'all Chris

From: Boreas Thursday, February 15 2001, 01:06AM It is one thing to celebrate Legend's past through the LoP mobs. It is quite another to become mired in the past. I have only been here a couple years, so I did not see these good old days, nor know most of the old timers. Even so, I think that there are plenty of very good characters around now. If you don't believe me, perhaps you should take a look around. Talk to people, listen to them. Don't just run away to another mud because you don't see people you recognize. The world is waiting for you.
