How about a mob that tools leather, similar to
the mob that will engrave into metal?
Or maybe we can have stock jewels that another mob
could perhaps work into neat carvings (that could be mundaned)
Infact.. how about a woodcarving mob? One that makes
small carvings from wood?
Stuff to litter households...
Maybe a stoneworker for big statues?
This MUD has the best interactive mobile system I've seen
(granted I've been to a total of like.. 5 muds)
Maybe when skilltrees go in, these skills can be available for
players to use to perhaps gain income.

I have been thinking of that lately as well.. I would love to
see something to that effect and maybe even make it harder to
get to engravers etc. That way we could have an actual group
of players who we could turn to for a business.. but what I
really would love is if there were skills for engraving and such
Wouldnt that be awesome.. to be able to make a charcter who can
engrave or carve etc etc with a skill ofcourse depending on stats
on how good they are, then sell those objects made from rare
items or even maybe one time quest items? I dunno.. maybe im just
dreaming heh

for once, I actually like that idea, an engraver class
someone who could take any basic element, weapons, clothes
he could stich, tool, metalwork, and sell them
that would really rock =)

There's actually a change like what you suggest (for mobs) already
in progress. There's a lot of merchant/item-producing skill stuff in
trees, too...
