Just wondering why there isn't a couple ways to get detect hidden on
yourself anymore, without being high level. Certain quests require it, and
the shamrock doesn't seem to do it anymore...

I don't think the shamrock ever did detect hidden. It does something
else to make that particular quest work, and I don't think it's
been changed.

The shamrock never did detect hidden. Mobs react to you wearing it
in a specific way to circumvent the need for detect hidden.
