I just have a question. Why is wolf packing looked down upon so much on legend. I mean doesnt that add a little thrill to the jump. or if you win add so much more to the victory. I mean i've been in pk clans with alts and they are just to boring for me. Everyone is just to busy going after people alone and there is no interact -ion between clan mates, at least thats what i've seen. my thought on thi is that if you were getting wolfpacked all the time, you would be more compelled to join a clan, for protection sake even. anyway give my your thoughts on this, i'm just curious as to why its so bad to two on one, somebody. i mean its not fair, but you can flee and find a friend to help you hopefully. :} Khufu the hardly ever around |U6

From: RedGeust Friday, January 05 2001, 01:48AM Its frowned upon because its considered bad sportsmanship. Some people care about that. Whats the fun in killing someone 3 on 1? What chance go they have? I agree that it can start some interesting RP/wars though. |U6

From: Kosminski Friday, January 05 2001, 09:42AM there are too many ways to prevent someone from fleeing in a wolf pack. you may think you can just flee, but you are probably wrong. you could have bashes alternated on you, be inspired, walled in, all the innkeeps killed and safe rooms blocked, etc. 3 mages could even just triple alternate gust spells on you. so, that is why wolf packs are looked down upon. do they still happen? of course. to the pk community, i'd like to say that if you do wolf pack, it would be nice if you would break off the attack when the person is at 'almost dead' or 'DYING'. that way instead of a wolf pack, its kinda like you just stopped by and beat them up : ) A. From: Conspiracy Friday, January 05 2001, 07:33PM the main problem with rp wars, though, is that with pkok we can have multiple pk'ers. thus making each pk'er on that much less. so umm, I guees what I'm saying is clanmates just aren't dependable for backup in my experience, since pkok was installed. -shrug- and one more thing, people actually have to fight to wolfpack, and they actually have to log in to have an rp war, and that just doesn't happen anymore. -me. |U6

From: Dean Friday, January 05 2001, 08:18PM The problem with wolf packs is that there are not enough of them. We need FAR more wolf packing because other wise weinies feel that they deserve to not be wolf packed. Dean has played on lots of other muds and when people make threats about war to other clans. [this is a vieled reference to jamacaman's threat to the knights] . Those people keep their threats. Not to call JamaciaMan a wienie head. But you seriously have to wonder why he doesn't get together with some of his chums and just beat the living tar out of a knight or two. Then they would have been more responsive to his declaration of war. That's what Dean thinks. You can quote him. (just trying to help) |U6

From: Dayde Monday, January 08 2001, 10:27PM I don't see any problem with wolf-packing, but there should be some consideration for the slaughtered. I'd love to see RP wars where several different melees and 1v1 battles between 2 or more clans are involved... I think there should be a PK arena in Rome, where anyone in the arena is ponder oops, trigger automatically accept all, and winners of battles there can win prizes/cash and others in the stands of the arena can place bets. It would have to work like normal pk, where you cant reject anyone for a bazillion ticks, and maybe make the arena guards agg if you try to leave during combat. Just a random thought |U6
