Ive been reading some posts about missing spells and people
upset that low mind magic sink is blocking spells.. etc.
With mages healing ability and versitality, the pros and cons more
or less work out. Poetry never had a problem breaking peoples sink
or missing spells... just have to learn how to use the character type.
Also keep in mind that Jesus is complain about low mind magic sink
when he, himself has 71 mind! a 50 mind sink blocking 71 mind
2nd circle spells is not THAT out of whack=p
Anyway, if you are going to change things with sink, then please
keep in mind all the other pros things that mages have that make
the magic sink and missing spells issues.. not all that bad.
I have to say, I have been very successful with a high mind 3c cause
and breaking or not breaking sinks, or missing spells is hardly an issue
for someone like me that learns takes time to learn how to
use a mage most effectively.
Ironically, if Jesus's low mind sink (71mind) stops a 100mind stun,
he gets exactly enough mana from the sunk stun to turn around
and create a poultice that could heal as much as half a wfw if
he has the right stats...
And when you have a choice of gust of wind which transfers 8 mana
to the victim if its sunk, and stun, which tranfers 35 mana to the
victim if sunk.. you almost always go with the gust if you are
fighting someone that can convert mana to hps so easily.
Maybe thats where sink should be looked at?

I've had 100 mind, I've had 90 mind, I've had 50 mind.
my spells get sunk at 100 mind the same as they do
at 50 mind. I wouldn't have wrote that if I hadn't
tested it for myself.
Granted I don't play mages well, especially this one.
And guess what, alot of other people who pkill don't either.
Just because Poetry has alot of sucess, doesn't mean
Legendmud is sucessful at any given thing, Poetry, among
others, are an exception, in my opinion.
Sorry if I seem rude, Dune, but your post kinda pissed
me off. But I'll be rational and not make a big deal
about it.
Anyway, even at 100 mind, I can't sink a blinding arrow,
and that's where the problem lies, for this char.
