ok, heres an idea that just popped into my head. - first of all, dex/str is just too powerful, period. - so here's the idea.. hitroll and damroll should be considered stats to the code. with that, the same +5 stat total of ALL EQ would certainly apply. a few pieces of eq would have to be changed, but lets face it.. that eq is too powerful to begin with right now, regardless. - so, append your thoughts, flame me for my post, or wharever. -Viagra, all about a stable, balanced Mud, even though he's dex/str.

From: Sammael Wednesday, February 02, 07:45PM dex/str is just fine, as long as you don't have 90 con with it and tons of hp gear. Which, to be honest, is basicly impossible anyway, to wear tons of hp gear AND have high dam and hit. Dunno, I personally think a dex/str would probably lose to a str/con more of the time. Should test it.

From: Arrak Wednesday, February 02, 07:54PM I also agree with sammael that str/con will win over dex/str ifyou think about it, the con will eat up the damage the str/dex gives, an the con/str would have just about the same dam roll giving up hit roll for headbutt is well worth it..if you ever notcied bad hit roll chars still hit 5/5on stuned targets sometimes..thast damcaps here, same as the str/dex.. well all this sounded right in my head not sure if that is how it came down on this append :) Arrak-MasteR SurgeoN

From: Wrecked'm Thursday, February 03, 12:17AM Damn buggy board.. my append POOFED.

From: Splat Thursday, February 03, 01:02AM Makes sense as an alternative to yanking it completely.. I've begun to dislike +hit/+dam more and more since str mages with no dex started ripping and damcapping me despite my high dex/perc.

From: Manticore Thursday, February 03, 02:46AM Personally think net stat should take hit/dam into account as well as hps. 5 stat gear with hit/dam bonus, imho, think is way too much, since a str/dex with no hit/dam can still cap... and causing caps to occur more frequently simply reduces the effectiveness of having high str (currently, as rare as it may be, you can still cap without having 100 str or wielding a heavy weapon). And in my experience a str/con beats a str/dex almost consistantly, mostly cuz there's a killer bonus to hit/dam on a stun as well as hps being 'cheaper' than hit/dam with the 70% pk damage cap...
